Learn what steps you have to take to realise your first pair of shoes. From design to sanding the heel, from patterncutting to the sole. In the heart of Amsterdam, at the edge of the red light district, you can make your dream come true.

The cost of this six day intensive summerschool is 1295 euro. Included are use of lasts, tools, machines, coffee and tea, and materials. Leather not included.

There are limited places (6 persons per course).



The six day intensive course is designed for men and women who want to learn how to make a pair of shoes. It starts with an idea and a simple design. At the six day course you will translate this design in a pattern. We work with leather uppers, and leather lining. If you want to work with fabrics of different materials please make a note of this in your email.
You'll learn how to make an insole, prepare and stitch the leather, attach the upper to the insole, customemake all the hidden parts of the shoe, make the sole and sand the heel.
There are a lot of steps you will have to take before the shoe is ready to wear. But after six intensive days you will be able to walk on your own design.

It is possible to take more than one course and make different models, in the first week you could make a high heel and in the second you could make a boot.

If you want a customized course that is possible. Other courses that are given at Jouw stoute schoenen are: making leather bags, purses, and clutches. If you have questions, feel free to ask them.
